The following prepare advice is essential to help reduce the risk of treatment complications, to improve your comfort/healing, and to help achieve the best possible results from treatment.
There are a few things to bare in mind, please see below:
- Avoid alcohol consumption 48 hours prior to your treatment
- Do let us know if you’re on any perception medication or unprescribed medication procedure

- Avoid over the counter anti-inflammatory drugs like Ibuprofen for 48 hours prior to your treatment.
- Avoid using Tretinoin (Retin-A), Retinol, Retinoids, Glycolic Acid, or any anti-aging products.
- Avoid any hair removal 24 hours prior to your treatment in the area that will be treated.
- Avoid taking any supplements a week prior to your appointment such as Garlic, Ginseng, Garlic etc.
- Do not take corticosteroid medications for 2 to 3 weeks prior to the procedure– check with your G.P before stopping any medication
- Avoid taking aspirin, ibuprofen, arthritis medication, or steroid medication – check with your G.P before stopping any medication
- Avoid alcohol consumption
- If possible, refrain from smoothing as this can impact the healing process
- It is okay to colour your hair 7 days prior to your appointment
