Each skin type has different signs, we’ll run through these to help you find out your skin type. 

Sensitive skin

This skin type can be quite delicate, easily irritated by products and the environment, which leaves you feeling uncomfortable, your skin starts itching, turns red and even tight. Sensitive skin tends to be more prone to dryness and roughness as it is easily irritated. 

Dry skin 

Dry skin usually is caused by external environment such as weather, air humidity or exposure to hot water. This skin type can leave you with flaky skin that peels off your face, your skin may crack and become more exposure to bacteria which in itself can create other issues. Signs can be flaky skin, tightness and roughness of the skin.

Knowledge is power

Normal Skin 

This skin type is balanced between oily skin and dry skin, whereby it’s neither of the two, your skin has regular texture, and your skin doesn’t have an special care requirements.

Oily skin 

Oily skin is caused by sebaceous glands which overly sebum (an oily substance that protects and hydrates the skin) and this type of skin is usually caused by genetics or hormonal issues. 

Combination skin 

Usually presents itself as both dry and oily skin, in different areas of your face. The oily side usually happens around the ‘T’ zone (forehead, nose, and chin) and the dry skin usually happens around the cheeks.

Understanding which skin type you have is essential to you understanding your skincare routine because each skin type will require different products and ingredients.
