Are Chemical Peels good for your skin?

Chemical peels can work wonders for your skin. A chemical peel is a procedure which removes the top dead skin layer of your skin. This leaves you with baby smooth skin, reduces dullness, hyperpigmentation and the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. They can also can help to reduce acne.

How long does a chemical peel last?

Chemical peels are generally done once a month, which can last from a month to a few months. It is best to get your skin to the condition you would like it to be in and then maintain this with a chemical peel every 6 months. The type of peel does matter too, we offer superficial peels which carry less risk than deeper peels.

How long does recovery take from a chemical peel?

Everyone is different and so is their skin. For some recovery can take a few days whereas others with more sensitive skin, the recovery process can take as long as 14 days. It is normal to experience peeling, dryness and redness following a chemical peel. It is highly important to wear sunscreen ideally SPF 50 following your treatments. 

Can you see results after one treatment?

The welcomed answer here is YES! There can be significant improvement after just one treatment, with your skin's textures, appearance and tone! Chemical peels operate as an exfoliant, removing the dead layer of skin, revealing the new skin underneath, leaving you with baby smooth skin! 

Is it worth getting a chemical peel?

Yes! You won't know whether a treatment is right for you, unless you try it! Chemical peels deal with hyperpigmentation, appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, acne and leave you with a youthful glow. We use superficial peels as these are the safest option! 

What are the side effects of a chemical peel?

There are side effects to any treatment you have done, including chemical peels. Some of the side effects include redness, dryness and stinging, these are usually temporary.
