What are crow's feet, and what causes them?
Crow's feet are the fine lines and wrinkles that fan out from the outer corners of the eyes. They're a common concern as we age.
Over time, skin naturally loses elasticity and collagen, so it creases more easily — and repeated movements like smiling, laughing and squinting form lines in the same place again and again.
A small dose of botulinum toxin relaxes the muscles around the eyes, temporarily smoothing the surface so those lines are softened and kept from deepening.
Who is crow's feet treatment for?
Crow's feet treatment suits adults in good general health who are bothered by lines around the eyes and want a subtle, natural softening rather than a frozen look. It's a great option if you'd prefer a quick, non-surgical treatment with no downtime.
It isn't suitable during pregnancy or breastfeeding, or if certain medical conditions apply (the full list is further down the page). That's why every treatment starts with a consultation — so we can check it's right for you, answer your questions and set realistic expectations before anything goes ahead.
Looking after your results
- Stay upright for around 4 hours after your treatment.
- Avoid touching, rubbing or massaging the eye area for 24 hours.
- Skip strenuous exercise for 24 hours.
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours.
- Avoid heat treatments — saunas, steam rooms and sunbeds — for about 2 weeks.
- Hold off on makeup over the area for a few hours.
- Results develop over 3–14 days, so be patient at first.

Before & after your treatment
What to expect
After your treatment you may notice some stinging or slight bruising where the needle was placed. These effects are temporary and settle quickly.
Anti-wrinkle injections take several days to take full effect, so don't worry if you don't see a change in the first few days — this is normal.
How to prepare
- Avoid alcohol for 48 hours before your treatment.
- Let us know about any prescribed or non-prescribed medication you're taking.
- Avoid over-the-counter anti-inflammatories such as ibuprofen for 48 hours beforehand.
Who shouldn't have this treatment
This treatment isn't suitable if any of the following apply. If unsure, please ask during your consultation:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding
- Hypertrophic or keloid scarring
- Bleeding abnormalities (e.g. anticoagulant use or thrombocytopenia)
- Active skin condition in the area (e.g. eczema or psoriasis)
- Active infection in the area (e.g. herpes simplex or pustular acne)
- Impaired healing (e.g. due to immunosuppression)
- Skin atrophy (e.g. chronic oral steroid use, or syndromes such as Ehlers-Danlos)
- Sensitivity or allergy to botulinum toxin or its constituents, or a milk allergy with certain products
- Neuromuscular disorders (e.g. ALS, Lambert-Eaton syndrome, myasthenia gravis or myopathies)
- Gross motor weakness in the area (e.g. Bell's palsy or stroke)
- Uncontrolled systemic conditions
- Medications that may potentiate the effect (e.g. aminoglycosides, quinine, calcium-channel blockers, penicillamine)
- Unrealistic expectations or body dysmorphic disorder
- Periocular or ocular surgery in the last 6 months
