How much does microneedling cost?

Microneedling varies in costs depending on the serums used as well as the private practise itself. 

Generally speaking microneedling can cost between £80-£250 per session. 

Is microneedling worth it?

Microneedling is not a quick fix, to see results takes at least 6 sessions, most people will find microneedling beneficial and see results after the first session.

What is microneedling good for?

Microneedling is a great tool to help you deal with skin concerns. Microneedling uses a pen designed to create small ruptures in the skin, forcing your skin to repair itself, resulting in new collagen, skin tissue, smoother, firmer skin, It is a great tool to deal with hyperpigmentation, acne scarring, wrinkles and large pores.

How long does microneedling last?

Everyone's skin and repair system is different, generally microneedling can last between 3-5 months. The length of time for the results vary depending on how long collagen stays in your body and your skin concerns. 

Can microneedling damage your skin?

There are risks to consider with microneedling treatments, these include bleeding, soreness, tightness, bruising, itching and peeling, these typically subside after a few days or weeks in some cases. It is always best to use SPF 50 after treatment to protect your skin. 

What age should you start microneedling?

Generally people can start to show signs of ageing in their 30's so we would suggest starting any your late 30's, this can help you maintain your youthful glow and promote collagen production.

Is Miconeedling better than Botox?

Botox and Microneedling can have similar results, however there are difference between the two:

 

Botox involves injecting a foreign chemical into your skin whereas micro needling involves creating tears to prompt your skin to repair itself.

 

 

Botox taking effect will result in your muscle ‘freezing’ whereas microneedling effects involves promoting collagen and elastin.

 

Botox can be great for preventing fine lines and wrinkles in contrast microneedling can heal acne scarring, stretch marks and hyperpigmentation.

What will happen to your skin hours after your microneedling treatment

Following your treatment most patients experience redness/pinkness in the treated areas. Pinpoint bleeding is normal for some and can occur whilst the treatment is being carried out.

It is extremely important to follow the precare and aftercare instructions provided to you and avoid using harsh chemicals on your skin.

 

What to expect days after your treatment

Some individuals can experience redness or pinkness to their skin for a few days following their treatment, alongside it is common to feel like the treated area is stinging and your skin starts to peel. It is recommended to use SPF 50 after 24 hours have passed following your treatment, and to follow the aftercare instructions.

How often should you get microneelding?

Your skin takes 28 days to heal, therefore it is recommend to have treatment every 4-6 weeks. We suggested if you have sensitive skin to leave the treatments for 6 weeks in between.
