What is a PRP facial?
A PRP facial uses your own platelet-rich plasma to support your skin's natural healing and rejuvenation. It's a gentle way to refresh tired-looking skin, improve texture and tone, and encourage collagen — and because it uses your own plasma, the risk of an allergic reaction is very low.
We take a small sample of your blood — much like a routine blood test — and spin it in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. This platelet-rich plasma, full of growth factors, is then microneedled or injected back into the skin, where it supports your body's natural repair process.
You'll be given full pre- and after-care guidance so your treatment is safe, comfortable and effective.
The science, simply put
Platelets are central to your body's natural healing — they carry growth factors that repair tissue. Concentrating them means we can deliver a higher level of those growth factors exactly where you want rejuvenation.

What to expect
A small volume of blood is drawn, similar to a routine blood test, then spun in a centrifuge to concentrate the platelets. The treatment area is cleansed, and the prepared plasma is microneedled or injected into the skin with care and precision.
Afterwards you may notice mild soreness, redness or slight bruising at the treated points. This is normal and usually settles within a day or two.
How to prepare for your treatment
- Avoid corticosteroid medication for 2–3 weeks before the procedure.
- Avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, arthritis or steroid medication — always check with your GP before stopping any prescribed medication.
- Drink plenty of water before your treatment.
Who shouldn't have a PRP facial
A PRP facial isn't suitable if any of the following apply. If unsure, please ask during your consultation:
- Pregnancy or breastfeeding.
- Skin infections in the treatment area.
- A medical condition that could spread infection.
- Any bleeding issue or blood disorder.
- Anaemia.

Why is it considered safe?
Because it uses your own plasma, the risk of allergic reaction is very low — you can't be allergic to your own blood. As with any injectable, it should be carried out by a trained, insured professional.
Is there downtime?
Downtime is typically 24 to 48 hours. You may notice some redness or mild tenderness at the treated points, which settles over a day or two.
Can it be combined with microneedling?
Yes — the PRP facial is most often performed with microneedling, which is what gives it the name vampire facial. The plasma is microneedled into the skin to boost rejuvenation and collagen.
How many sessions will I need?
